Below are thorough explanations of the different sections within Settings available to you in your console as well as the important actions you need to take to properly set up your Monumetric account.
First Steps:
Once you have logged into the Console, please find the Settings tab at the bottom of the left sidebar. There, you will see the first three important sections: Tax Information, Payment Information, and Google Analytics. Before you will be able to receive a payment for the ads being purchased on your site, both the Tax and Bank Information sections must be filled out in their entirety. Please note that failing to save this information correctly will result in a hold on your payments until the information is properly updated.
The third section, titled Google Analytics, is where you will sync your pageview data from your Google Analytics account to the Ads Dashboard. Syncing this data is crucial to the optimization of your ads and if it has become unsynced after you granted access to us during onboarding, we ask you to please resync now. To sync the data you must first log into your Google Analytics account in a separate tab in your browser. Back in the Google Analytics section of the console, click the button Google Analytics. When the checkmarks are green, it has successfully synced.
Payment Information
- Please make sure your payment information is filled out completely; payments will be on hold until this information is saved.
- Publishers who live outside the United States can only be paid via PayPal or a United States Bank Account
Tax Information
- Please toggle whether you are or are not filing taxes in the United States. If you are, proceed to fill in the fields below. All fields must be filled out for your tax information to be accepted.
- This section will serve as your W9 for the 1099 tax form we will send you at the beginning of the year.
- Note that publishers filing taxes under an S-Corp will not get a 1099, nor will publishers who earn less than $600 in a year from Monumetric.
Google Analytics
- Sync your Google Analytics to the Ads Dashboard. This allows us to see pageviews, and unique visitors, calculate RPM, and help determine the overall performance of your site.
- To sync the data you must first log into your Google Analytics account in a separate tab in your browser. Back in the Google Analytics section of the console, click the button Google Analytics and see the checkmarks turn green showing it has successfully synced.
Ads.txt Sync
- Add your File Transfer Protocol information to have Monumetric directly update and maintain the ads.txt file on your server. This is specifically used for ads.txt maintenance and is typically used by publishers not running the Monumetric WordPress plugin.
