Our Yield Ops team specializes in optimizing the ads on your site to get you the most bang for your buck! There are many variables we will check during a site audit to make sure your site is running the best possible ad strategy to bring in the most revenue possible while maintaining a great user experience.
Some of the data on your console we review during an audit are as follows:
- The trend of impressions compared with the trend of page views –any difference in impressions will likely show that an ad (or more than 1 ad) is no longer working correctly on the site.
- Ads/Pageview, and Pageviews to see if any major changes may signal potential optimization opportunities.
- The Missing Reports section to know if the data displayed is still waiting on advertisers’ contributions.
Some of the data that we may find useful after reviewing the Console is as follows:
- Ad tag history to verify if there have been any changes to the number of ad tags running on the site.
- Your site’s performance in comparison to the rest of the network to check for any differences in seasonality trends.
- A look into Google Analytics data with Read & Analyze access to check on session duration, traffic origin patterns, and traffic geography
From this information, we can make suggestions for new ad placements or changes to existing ad placements. We may also adjust bidding parameters to help drive advertisers to pay more for your ads. We will also highlight other factors that play a role in your site’s RPMs and can make suggestions for you to work on in those areas to optimize the revenue potential on your site.
