What it is:
At the end of each day, reports are sent to us from the advertisers who bought ads on your site. This data will be added to the console and be viewable the following day.
How to get there:
To access the console, go to account.monumetric.com and log in using the information the Monumetric Implementation team emailed you after your Monumetric ads went live. If you cannot find this email, use the email address used during the onboarding process and click forgot password to reset your password. If neither option grants you access, please reach out to your point of contact and ask for assistance.
The Ad Performance Dashboard
The Bar Graph
This summarizes the previous 30 days’ performance. Data from the graph is generated from the “Metrics That Matter” box to the right of the graph.
Above the bar graph in the top right corner is a question mark icon. When clicked on, a guided tour of the Ad Performance dashboard will begin explaining each section and metrics within.
Metrics That Matter
By clicking on the boxes within the “Metrics That Matter” section, lines on the graph will appear and disappear
- Earnings: This amount sums how much you made in the defaulted range of the last 30 days or the custom date range selected.
- Pageviews: A pageview is counted when one page on your site loads in a browser. The more pageviews generated, the more opportunity you have to make money. We pull pageviews from your Google Analytics report and do not recommend any other pageview counter over Google Analytics
- Sessions: A session is whatever one user does on your site before they leave. A session can be made up of multiple pageviews.
- Pageviews/Session: Pageviews per session breaks down how many pages one user visits. Knowing this can help you adjust the strategy of your posts to help readers visit more of your site.
- Pageview RPM: At Monumetric, the definition of an RPM is revenue per 1,000 pageviews. This is the clearest way to understand how ads earn money from the traffic visiting your site. Be careful to not attribute another’s definition of this term to Monumetric’s definition. Adsense uses RPM to track the revenue you make from 1,000 ads purchased on your site, some other ad networks use RPM to tell you how much you make per 1000 sessions.
- Ads/Session: The number of ads your users see before leaving your site will let you know if the ads are in the right spots if users are staying on pages long enough to fully load, and more. This number should be as close to the number of ads multiplied by the number of sessions as realistically possible.
- RPMS: This metric measures the revenue your site makes per 1,000 visitor sessions. It will appear higher than your RPM because more revenue is generated in one session than generated in one pageview. A session can be made up of multiple pageviews.
- Impressions: An Ad Impression, sometimes called an ad view, is a term that refers to the point in which an ad is viewed once by a visitor, or displayed once on a web page. You will see data from impressions on your Monumetric Ads Dashboard under the “Measure What Matters” box showing you how many impressions your site has accrued in a certain time. Our goal is to help publishers understand that impressions are the gateway to ad optimization.
Date Range and Ad Type
- All data on the Ads Dashboard is generated from the date range selected in the top-left dropdown
- Customize which days your Ads Dashboard is showing data for by clicking on the dates and using the calendar to select the desired date range
- The top-left dropdown will automatically be set to “all” ad types. Limit the data to one particular ad type by using the dropdown.
Data Integrity
The Data Integrity section shows any missing reports from providers. If there is a 0 next to the date listed, all reporting is up to date for that day.
