Enable Site Speed Optimizations for CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift) directly through Monumetric’s Console. This feature within the dashboard will help you optimize your site and put it far ahead of the crowd!
To start the optimization process head to the Monumetric Console.
- Click on Tools, then My CLS
- Toggle the CLS Optimizations to Enabled/On
- You have three options for both Desktop and Mobile and can hover over the image for an animated view.
- Non-Collapsing: This enables a preset height and width of the largest ad for each spot and will stop the divs from collapsing. This option will help you avoid content shifting and can improve your CLS score within Core Web Vitals.
- Non-Collapsing + Shadow Box: This enables a preset height and width of the largest ad for each spot and will stop the divs from collapsing. This option will help you avoid content shifting and can improve your CLS score within Core Web Vitals. In addition, this will also create a Shadow Box within the div that can help the layout feel more intentional. The Shadow Box can still be seen even if there is no ad-filled which avoids the blank white space when an ad is not filling the space.
- Collapsing: This turns off preset height and width dimensions and shadow boxes for all your ads. Therefore, your divs will collapse if an ad does not load. This option can harm your CLS score within Core Web Vitals.
- Click Save Settings.
